Kristy Hanson became known in 2012 as the voice of West Hollywood after winning the city’s Summer of Music contest with her theme song, “Welcome Me Home.” A performance at the Roxy and write-ups from LAist, NBC Los Angeles, and the LA Business Journal earned her considerable buzz, which she followed up with a showcase for the Association of Independent Music Publishers in October. In 2013, she’s hit the ground running, winning a prestigious opportunity from the John Lennon Songwriting Contest to perform at this year’s NAMM Conference. She has also lent her voice and her songwriting talents to two upcoming independent films, and LA music critic Bob Leggett recently named her one of his “20 to watch in 2013.”

After touring coast to coast at colleges and clubs over the last couple years, Kristy is currently in the studio working on a follow-up to her fan-funded album “Into the Quiet.” The new EP promises to be her best work yet!
