Oh, how I hope it’s true, even if I’m far too paranoid to utter those words about tomorrow. We have no idea what people will do in the face of loooong lines, faulty machines, intimidation, or anything else we haven’t yet imagined. I’ve countered my deep anxiety by volunteering for Obama and No on Prop 8 today, and both filled me with incredible positive energy. This campaign has changed me for the better, and I know I will find getting more involved in my community again – no matter what. I do hope with all my heart that Obama does win, that my state chooses not to put discrimination into its constitution (no on prop 8!), and we can celebrate a truly historic day and transformational moment for our country tomorrow. OOOh boy will I celebrate!
But even if you disagree with me, please go VOTE!!! You get to choose; that’s the beauty of it. We get to make this whole democracy thing happen! How exciting is that? Please be a part of it.
